I was just thinking that I would do something a bit out of character for me and talk about something deep on here... what do y'all want to hear about? (and if no one replies, I'll be super depressed)

Why Is the Demise of Electronics so Epic?

Has anyone noticed that when a phone breaks its not "broken" its "dead". A computer doesn't "break"; it "crashes". When an iPod runs out of batteries, it "dies". Why is this so much more epic than other ordinary objects??? Its not like they were alive anyway!!!!

I just saw Kaylyn and Jen's yearbook pictures, they are sooooo cute! They're both all smiley and happy!! And they are both probably gonna kill me for saying that, but it had to be said.

Today is a good day. Franzi gave me chocolate (really really really good chocolate), and my secret Santa gave me cheese and dew! I would like to give the person who invented dew a hug. Dew is the most epic thing ever. Except I'm gonna get fat 'cause everyone is giving me food. I wish my parents'd be a little less concerned with my weight, because I really don't care since I'm not legitly fat. Besides, its Christmas... BRING ON THE FUDGE!!
On the subject of which, I might be making fudge over break. YUM! I also really want to go to the new Chronicles of Narnia movie during break *hint hint*. We might go cross-country skiing over break, but Emma Foster has to come since I said we'd take her last year, but we never went. I love cross-country skiing. Its so much more relaxing than downhill. If anyone wants to go, let me know & we can make it a party!!!

I don't know if anyone has noticed, but there is a magically delicious music player thingy on the side of my blog now!!!! Don't listen to some of them if you dislike rap, sorry about that. My song selection is a bit odd, but, ya know what? GET OVER IT! That is just how I roll =). Btw, Sky Sailing is Owl City before he was Owl City. Nolan showed me that song.

I love the snow we have going on around here. It totally made my life. That & the fact I got a box fruit snacks from my secret Santa. I think that may make me an odd muffin again.

So, Allie woke me up 4 times last night, and she says I'm annoying. O goodness...

It just occurred to me that, because I have the playlist thingy on the side, I no longer need to post links to youtube movies of songs. Boy am I smart! *facepalm* Anyway, like I said before, check out Sky Sailing 'cause he's cool... and also 30 Seconds to Mars, because Jared Leto is AmAzInG! 30 Seconds to Mars also has really cool music videos, my favorites are 'From Yesterday' (even though its slightly creepy), 'Kings and Queens', and 'The Kill'.

This cannot happen!!! My world has ended!!! LYNN HILARY IS LEAVING CELTIC WOMAN!!! This is worse than the end of the world!!! Why can't people other than Mairead, Lisa and Chloe stick with Celtic Woman for long periods of time??? This depresses me massively... just wait 'til one of  those three leaves, that is the day I really will shoot myself in the head, no joke.

In other news, I actually like the dance unit this year. There is something to be said for being a Sophomore and cool and junk. However, I hate it when you get that guy that refuses to dance right because he thinks you have cooties. Come on people, we should have been over this years ago!! Then you have the opposite, which also bugs me. The guys who think you have no personal space... a perfect medium is hard to find...

That reminds me, we are reading Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol' in class. Which always makes me think of the Doctor Who episode 'The Unquiet Dead". I actually started quoting the episode during class as I was reading today, and that spawned quite a few weird looks. Who cares? It is (almost) impossible to go wrong with Doctor Who. Except when Russel T Davies kills my soul with the episode "Doomsday", that's when I go on a rampage and bad things happen. I'm just sayin'.

Why I Hate Tuesdays So Much

Aside from the obvious beginning-of-the-week-end-of-the-weekend feeling that makes me absolutely loathe Mondays, Tuesdays are definitely the next worst. There is some energy-less, undefinable quality about Tuesdays that makes them seem awful and bland. They are like the lukewarm gruel of the week; they are gray and sort of blurred and unimportant. Even when good things happen on Tuesday, they seem slightly less exciting. This bothers me.

I now really wish it  was Friday... or at least Wednesday. Wednesday is infinitely better than Tuesday, and Friday is just awesome. But it is just plain FREAKIN" TUESDAY!!! Taz did say I should stop living in the might-have-been, so I guess I'll try that, even though it doesn't make me Tuesday any better.

I really want a bacon sandwich right now... you have no idea...

Shoot Me In The Head

If I don't die of exhaustion, somebody's gonna have to shoot me. Like now. The swim schedule is killing me, and the sheer amount of homework the teachers assign leaves my mind completely boggled. Do you think anyone'd notice if I hid under the bed for the rest of the school year?

Anyway, aside from the usual drudgery of school, I have been thinking (uh-oh..). I was really meant to be born in the 80s so I could grow up in the 90s. They had the best movies, cartoons, boy bands, and pop music. One of them would be Captain Planet. Looking back, it was kind of dorky and childish, but it was marketed toward children, so what do you expect? I think that if it was slightly modified to be less dorky and more modern, it would make a wonderful movie. Now is the best time since everyone is paying big money to be green anyway. =) I think I'm gonna need some help though. Will someone help me get this down on paper before my brain short-circuits?

School Literature Makes Me Angry

Books are so much better when you don't read them in school. This is a truth that we all must accept. If I had read "Tuesdays with Morrie", or "I Heard the Owl Call My Name" in any other place, I'm pretty sure I would have liked them. However, having to read them in school completely killed them. Think mangled bloody bodies of booked hacked into pieces and lying on the floor.

Not only does the school system kill good literature, it also pollutes the minds of us kids with stuff like "A Gathering of Old Men". The content matter of the book was a nice gesture, but that book SUCKED!! I vote we have a giant book burning party.

I propose that the school put together a list of some 200 books (preferably classics) of all genres and issue it when the kids enter the 6th grade. Then require that between 20 and 30 books be read by Senior year. Extra credit can be offered for those over-achievers that want to read more. Teachers can plan the year in segments and the kids can come into different classes depending on what book they are reading for discussion and help. This would be much preferable to the current setup... Because now, after the stupid crap that means nothing steals my brain, the only thing us children can do is go into the school library and get on Facebook... and listen to Simon and Garfunkel, if you are weird like me.

As a First...

So, really I have no clue what to do with this... People said it'd be a good idea, I hope they are right. Perhaps the best thing to do would be to establish some ground rules. 1) I will probably say some things that are not entirely politically correct. This means that I do not care what is politically correct, so I don't want to be corrected. Save that junk for politicians. 2) No swearing. I do drop a bad word from time to time myself, but keep the really explicit stuff to yourself. 3) If you want, please comment. This whole thing is basically me giving my opinions on stuff so give me yours, just don't tell me to be politically correct. That is for the rest of the world. That is really all I got for now... I'll probably think of something interesting tonight and be like "Dang! Why didn't I put that on there???"
